- Saturday - Day 1 - Arrival in Athens
KALOS ORISATE! Welcome to Greece!
We will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel. After a short briefing about your tour, you will have the afternoon free to rest and explore Athens on your own.
Overnight in Athens.
- Sunday - Day 2 - Athens -
Around 8:30 AM, we will meet you at your hotel for your guided tour of Athens.
You will explore Temple of Olympian Zeus, Panathinaiko Stadium (where the first Olympic Games took place in 1896).
After that, we will drive by the Prime's Minister's residence, the Royal Palace, (guarded by colorful Evzones), Zappion (Conference and Exhibition Hall), National Garden, Hadrian's Arc, St. Paul's Church, Parliament, Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Schlieman's House (Numismatic Museum), Catholic Cathedral, Academy, University, National Library, Old Parliament, Constitution Square,
and the impressive Russian Orthodox Church.
At the ACROPOLIS, you will visit Propylaea, Temple of Athena Nike, Parthenon, Erechtheion
and the Museum of the Acropolis.
In the early afternoon, we will provide a transfer to your hotel, or we can also drop you off at the
Plaka so you can wander and explore. Overnight in Athens.
- Monday - Day 3 - Athens to Olympia - (D)
Morning departure from Athens on a scenic drive to Olympia, On the way we will stop at the Corinth Channel for photo and visiting, we will continue our drive and upon reaching Epidaurus,
we will visit the Ancient Theatre, famous for its impressive acoustics and then we will continue onto Nauplia through the plains of Argos.
Upon arrival in Mycenae and we will visit the Tomb of Famous Agamemnon and learn about the history from your guide, on thee way to Olympia, we will make short stops to visit sites of Tripolis and Megalopolis.
Upon arrival, check in the hotel, free time, dinner at the hotel Overnight in Olympia.
- Tuesday - Day 4 - Olympia to Delphi - (B/D)
After breakfast, you will start the day visiting the following famed archaeological sites:
Temple of Zeus, Temple of Hera, The Altar of the Olympic Flame, The Stadium, and the Archaeological Museum. After visiting these sites, we will drive along the coastal road towards Delphi, passing through Patras and Antirion.
In the afternoon, free time at the charming mountain village of Arachova.
Arrival in Delphi, check in, dinner at the hotel and overnight stay.
- Wednesday - Day 5 - Delphi to Meteora - (B/D)
After breakfast, we will start the day visiting the ancient site of Delphi and then the Museum of Delphi, learn all the history from your expert guide, then depart for another scenic drive to the
town of Kalambaka.
Will have a short break in Lamia town then continue our drive to Kalambaka.
Kalambaka is a picturesque small town built at the foot of the Majestic Grey Rocks and crowned
by the Meteora Monasteries overhead.
Arrival, check in, dinner and overnight stay in Kalambaka.
- Thursday - Day 6 - Meteora to Athens - (B)
After breakfast, we will start the day visiting Meteora Monasteries, visit 3 of the popular monasteries.
The Meteora meaning heavens on above and beyond, is one of the largest and most
important complexes of Eastern Orthodox monasteries in Greece.
Monasteries are built on sandstone, and they look amazing from each angle.
Meteora is included on the UNESCO World Heritage list.
After our visit we will continue on driving back to Athens, on the way will make a
rest stop and visit the Monument of Leonidas at Thermopoli,
Arrival in Athens & Overnight stay.
- Friday - Day 7 - Athens to Home - (B)
Good bye! It is time to go home. We will transfer you to the airport and wish you well;
we hope our paths cross again soon.
